Kenneth Zerby Crumrine

Kenneth Zerby Crumrine, 94, passed away on Father's Day, June 21, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice, Bentonville. He was a resident of the Washington, DC area for 50 years, moving to Bella Vista in 1997. He was a WWII veteran who served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant with the 810th Aviation Engineer Battalion and the 340th Engineer Construction Battalion in the South and Southwest Pacific Theaters. Ken's career was in heavy construction, managing many sizeable, essential projects in the Washington, DC area including: the Baltimore Tunnel, the Washington Beltway, the subway system between the House of Representatives & U.S. Capitol, and the Naval Academy expansion project. He married Laurel Rice Crumrine on June 18, 1946 in Washington, DC. She preceded Ken in death in 2013; they were married for 66 years. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Klimczak and her husband, Gene of Bella Vista, Ark.; sons, Kenneth Crumrine, Jr. and his wife, Sandy, Steven Crumrine and his wife, Susan, all of Wilmington, N.C.; grandchildren, Mark Kryzanowsky and his wife, Laura, Amy Loudon and her husband, David, all of Fayetteville, Ark., Kevin Crumrine and his wife, Christy, of Lexington, Mass., Kelly Crumrine, of Annapolis, Md., and Caroline Crumrine, of Wilmington, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Connor, Ava, and Ella Kryzanowsky, Lucas Loudon, all of Fayetteville, Ark., and Maggie Crumrine, of Lexington, Mass. He is also remembered with love by, Juliet Crumrine of Arlington, Va. A private service for family and friends will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
