Dorcas Smith Fitch

Dorcas Smith Fitch, age 81, of Elkins, died Sunday, June 21, 2015 at her home. She was born October 9, 1933 in Elkins, the daughter of Earnest and Gladys Ballard Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Julius "Dude" Smith and her second husband, Wilson Fitch. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elkins Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Sandra Woods and her husband Mike of West Fork and Sam Smith and his wife Sheala of Elkins; a grandson, Scott Woods and his wife Loretta of Farmington; a brother, Dale Buchanan of Fayetteville; two sisters, Donna Kuklinski of Blair, Nebraska and Ernestine Ledford of Fayetteville and four great-grandchildren, Cody Simmons, Meaghan Woods, Ethan Woods and Ty Woods. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 12 noon, Thursday at Moore's Chapel followed by burial at Mount Olive Cemetery.
