Lowell Gene Carmical

Lowell Gene Carmical, age 78, of Rogers went to his heavenly home while surrounded by his family on June 11, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Ark. Lowell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Ann Carmical; a son, Dr. Douglas A. Carmical and his wife, Laura; his daughter Cheryl Ann Rosenbaum and husband, Ken; his five grandchildren Tyler Carmical and wife, Hannah; Colton Carmical, Garrett Carmical, Ashley Rosenbaum, and Lauren Rosenbaum, all of Rogers; his brother Larry Joe Carmical and wife, Susan of Stevensville, Mont.; his sister Glenda Danby and husband Marshall of Roan Mountain, Tenn. Lowell was born on June 22nd, 1936 in Union City, Tenn. to Odie and Lucille (Parris) Carmical. He was a graduate of Henry Ford Community College, Eastern Michigan University, and the University of Arkansas; where he received his Masters Degree in Education. He was a Journeyman Toolmaker for General Motors-Hydramatic in Ypsilanti, Mich. He moved to Rogers, Ark. in 1976 where he became the Quality Assurance Manager for Wendt-Sonis Tool Manufacturing Company. He was an Industrial Coordinator for the Arkansas Department Economic Development, which he retired from in 2007. He served as a deacon and elder at Southside Church of Christ in Rogers, Ark. for over 25 years. Lowell truly loved to lead singing at church. One of Lowell's greatest joys was time spent with family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren. He was known for his humor and ability to make others laugh. He was an inspiration to many because of his great attitude through debilitating illness. A celebration of Lowell's life is planned for Monday, June 15th, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m. A private burial will be at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark. Donations in honor of Lowell may be made to Green Valley Bible Camp, 3100 Monte Ne Road Rogers, Ark. 72758. Arrangements under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.
