Thelma Faye Webb, 85, passed away at home in Springdale, Arkansas on Monday June 8, 2015. She was born January 4, 1930, the daughter of Pruce Rush and Edna Pogue Rush. She had four sisters, Mildred, Ruth, Naomi "Nay", and Elizabeth "Beth", as well as four brothers, Claude, Paul, Landrum "Bean", and Lloyd. Her brothers and sisters called her "Shorty" and she is still affectionately called "Aunt Shorty" by her nieces, nephews, and their extended families. Faye's kindness and giving energy had an amazing impact on family and friends. She encouraged us to show love and compassion to those around us, experience and express joy in the smallest things, and to find peace even in the darkest hours. To her those were the true markers of "success" and the characteristics she cherished in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and others she loved. She gave freely, focused on the positive, dissuaded guilt, encouraged forgiveness, and promoted tolerance & acceptance. She worked for many years in retail at Barbara's Hallmark and eventually retired after working at J. Randall's, both at Mellor Park Mall in El Dorado. She was a member of New Eastside Baptist Church in El Dorado before moving to The Gardens at Arkanshire in Springdale, Arkansas where she enjoyed the last year and a half of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Webb, as well as siblings Mildred, Ruth, Nay, Claude, Paul, and Bean. Despite the 1500 miles between them, Faye and her sister, Beth made their heavenly family reunion together by both leaving this world the morning of June 8th. Faye is survived by her younger brother, Lloyd Rush, her three children (Wanda Barbaree Lamar, Mark Sullivant with his wife Wanda Sinyard Sullivant, and Tina Webb), seven grandchildren (Tamara Barbaree Gordy & husband Brian Gordy, Dwayne Barbaree & wife Leslie Stinson Barbaree, Tausha Barbaree, Chris Sullivant, Todd Sullivant & wife Shelley Windham Sullivant, Chelsea Pepper Hawley & husband Rick Hawley, and Josh Pepper), eight great-grandchildren, (Jody & Hannah Barbaree, Cameron & Cayla Gordy, Ashtyn Nilsen, and Alexander, Reid, & Kaylee Sullivant), and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 14, at 4 p.m. at the Gardens at Arkanshire in Springdale with Reverend Bill Pettigrew officiating. An online guest registry will be available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com.
