Jerry Wayne Hughes, age 49, of Rogers, died June 10, 2015. He was born in Fort Sill, Okla., on May 17, 1966, to Jimmie and Sandra (Hayes) Hughes. Jerry was a 1984 graduate of Rogers High School where he was known as "Captain Mountie" and "Chief Crazy Horse." He later received his bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Arkansas. He attended Southside Church of Christ throughout his life. All who knew him will remember him being the life of the party and making people laugh. Survivors include his mother, Sandra Hughes of Rogers; brother, Troy Hughes and wife Tina of Rogers; sisters, Terri Strong and husband Doug of Port Orange, Florida, Gayla Saegert and husband Mike of Siloam Springs, Susie Reed of Lowell; nieces and nephews, Kyle Hughes, Randy Stout, Kendall Strong, Savannah Strong, Ashley Vaughan, Karye Saegert, Anthony Saegert and Bailey Reed; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Thomas Hughes. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Southside Church of Christ, officiated by Jackie Chesnutt. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
