Marie Christine Terrell

Marie Christine Terrell, 92, of Fayetteville died Sunday. She was born Nov. 18, 1922, the last of five children of Chris and Anna Marie Birch, immigrants from Norway, in New Alban, Iowa. The family moved when she was a child to Camden, Ark., where she was graduated from Fairview High School. During World War II she married H. Curtis Terrell, also from Ouachita County, from whom she was later divorced. The union produced four children: Anna Marie Richardson of Missouri, Henry C. Terrell Jr. of Cabot, David Terrell of Pennsylvania, and James B. Terrell of Fayetteville. They survive, along with four granddaughters. Mrs. Terrell lived her last years at Fayetteville's Hillcrest Towers. Her love of gardening leaves Hillcrest a more attractive place than when she arrived. Plans are underway for a private service. Memorials may be made to Philander Smith College or Ozark Regional Transit.
