Betty Steward

Betty Ruth Steward, age 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born April 2, 1931 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Loy and Sarah Clark Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Steward and a brother, Harlan Stephens. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville. She and her husband were an integral part of the RFC Campus ministry and actively helped with the benevolent program. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Steward and her husband Art Maier of Littleton, Colorado; a son, Stephen Steward and his wife Patti of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Lucas Steward and his wife Lisa and Abby Simpson and her husband Mark; three great-grandchildren, Stella and Lillian Simpson and Kate Steward. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Johnson.
