Virginia Lee Tillman, 87, of Garfield, died July 30, 2015 at the home of her son, Andrew Tillman and his wife Cheryl where she was lovingly cared for the past four years. She was born July 20, 1928, in Roswell, New Mexico to Everett John McDaniel and Mildred Lee Morrison McDaniel. She was a dairy and beef farmer, a member of Corinth Church of Christ in Garfield and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Tillman; one grandson Michael Vaught; and one great-granddaughter Natalie Elizabeth McNelly. Virginia will be remembered as a loving mother and grandma to all. She was a hard worker that was tough as nails. There wasn't anything she couldn't fix. She had a heart of gold and spent her life devoted to her children, grandchildren and family farm. She was an avid quilter and had a great love for sewing, painting, writing and cooking. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Box and husband Gary of Plano, Texas, Sherlyn Collins of Garfield, Saresa Kimball and husband Larry of Hawaii, Sharalea Landers and husband Don of Garfield; three sons, Andrew Tillman and wife Cheryl of Garfield, Daniel Tillman and wife Nicole of Garfield, Timothy Tillman and wife Chell of Garfield; two brothers, Clayton McDaniel and wife Marcine of New Mexico and Denton McDaniel and wife Diane of Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 23 and a half great-grandchildren. Graveside service is set for 10 a.m. Monday, August 3 at Bayless Cemetery in Garfield. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. August 2 at the funeral home.
