Nona Lea Holm

Nona Lea Holm, of Sulphur Springs, passed away on July 12, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1921 in Sulphur Springs to the late Harry and Clara Heckman. She was the wife of the late Ralph Holm. Nona was a homemaker who was active in her community. She was a devoted member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Friendly Neighbors Club. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. In 1941, she was crowned Apple Blossom Queen. Survivors include children, David Holm (Joyce) of Salado, Texas, Gerald Holm (Cheryl) of Gentry, Shirley Spencer (Stephen) of Bentonville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Sharon Lea Holm; grandson, Gerald Jason Holm; and siblings, Madge Winchester and Joe Heckman. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Butler Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler Creek Cemetery at 20335 Stateline Rd., Sulphur Springs 72768. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
