Kenneth Carnes, age 89, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday July 8, 2015. He was born August 1, 1925 in Walnut Grove, Arkansas to Clyde A. and Mamie Morton Carnes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, JoBelle Reed Carnes. He was owner and operator of Northwest Arkansas Produce and a cattle farmer. He was a graduate of University High School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, the Arkansas Cattleman's Association and a past member of the Prairie Grove School Board. Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Clydia Combs and her husband Carl of Fayetteville; Lana Turney and her husband Allen of Heber Springs, Arkansas; grandsons, Justin Combs and his wife Karrie of Springdale, Lex Combs and his wife Becky of Springdale, Matt Turney and his wife Nikki of Heber Springs and granddaughter, Kenna Lee and her husband Tim of Springdale; great-grandchildren, Emily Kate, Carter, Linden and Blakelyn Combs. Parker and Colton Lee all of Springdale and Hope and Luke Turney of Heber Springs and a sister-in-law, Genevieve Carnes of Farmington. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Elm Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
