Frank C. Demarest Jr.

Frank C. Demarest, Jr. passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Circle of Life at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. He was born to Frank Christie Sr. and Edna Decker Demarest in Hackensack, N.J. on December 23, 1927. Frank lived in New Jersey until 1967 when he and his family moved to Dallas, Texas. Following graduation from Westwood High School in Westwood, N.J. he attended Pace College (now University) in New York graduating with a BBA in 1951. He worked in advertising and public relations in New York City, including Young & Rubicam (which at the time was the world's second largest advertising agency) until 1967 when he and his family moved to Dallas, Texas. He also worked for almost 20 years for the Petroleum Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers until his retirement in 1993 when he moved to Bella Vista, Ark. Frank was a Christian who enjoyed serving the Lord in his church and as a member of Gideon's International. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, older brother, William, and grandson, Nathan. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine Rebeka Demarest, son, Kenneth R. Demarest (wife Susan) of Lawrence, Kan. and daughter, Jill N. (husband Thomas) Rotrekl of Bella Vista, Ark., grandson, Eric (wife Debbie), granddaughter, Rebecca (husband Reed) and two great-grandsons, Austin and Lucas. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Village Bible Evangelical Free Church, 210 Town Center, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714. Pastor Mark Voll will officiate. Private burial will be held at Bella Vista Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Bible Evangelical Free Church building fund or Gideons International, P.O.
