Albert M. Bessinger Jr.

Albert M. Bessinger Jr., 67, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away January 27, 2015 at his home. He was born November 13, 1947 in DeLand, Florida, the son of Albert and Dorothy Sorenson Bessinger Sr. He was long time member of Prairie Oak Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. He served many years as a church trustee and was very privileged to have served on several mission trips to Honduras. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Lexington during the Vietnam War. He worked for Prairie Grove Schools and the City of Prairie Grove for numerous years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Linda Bessinger of the home. one son, Robert Bessinger of Benton County, Ark.; one daughter, Chere' Luginbuel and husband Stacy of Prairie Grove; one sister, Doris Head of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one brother, Alvin "Skip" Bessinger and wife Judy of DeLand, FL; two grandchildren, Reid Luginbuel and Garrett Luginbuel of Prairie Grove; one nephew, Richard Head and one niece, Jennifer Couch both of Broken Arrow, Okla. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 6-7 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Funeral will be held, Saturday, January 31, 2015, 10 a.m. at the Prairie Oaks Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joe Storlie, Dwayne Davis, Cletus Reed, Merle Gross, Tom Aylor, and Brian Crigler. Honorary Pallbearers: All his coffee drinking friends from One Stop.
