Syble Sumter

Syble Sumter, age 88, of Fayetteville, died Monday, January 26, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born March 22, 1926 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herbert and Pearl Smith Freeman. She worked in the kitchen at Farmington High School and the VA Hospital. She attended Living Faith Church. She is survived by her husband, Dee Sumter of Fayetteville; her children, Baron Sumter and his wife Alice of California, Larry Sumter and his wife Julie of California, Rhonda Combs of Fayetteville, Stanton Sumter and his wife Donna of Farmington; a brother, Bill Freeman and his wife Louann of Van Buren; a sister, Barbara Townley of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Living Faith Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Steve Curtis and Pastor Buel Curtis officiating.
