Viola Jane Howard, 91, of Kingston, Arkansas, passed away on January 25, 2015 at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville, Arkansas. She was born December 28, 1923 at the Rudd Community in Carroll County, Arkansas, the daughter of William Seeb and Ova Howerton Morris. She was united in marriage to Dallas Lee Howard on March 1, 1946. They were parents of two children. She was a former school teacher and had a family business for 21 years. In her latter years, she was a caregiver for the sick and elderly. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Lee Howard on August 31, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Herman Morris, Roy Morris, Clarence Morris, Cecil Morris and Delbert Morris and by four sisters, Lucille Barrett, Opal Morris, Winnie Dominquez and an unnamed infant. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked with her hands crocheting and piecing quilts and other handiwork which she gave to her family and friends. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, David and Blenda Howard of Kingston, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Dale Braudrick of Springdale, Arkansas; three brothers, Ted Morris of Lowell, Arkansas, Harold Morris of Columbia, Missouri and Jimmy Morris of Dry Fork, Arkansas; three sisters, Ruby Howard of Alpena, Arkansas, Reba Allred of Springfield, Missouri and Virginia Knapp of Austin, Texas; one grandson, Brandon Braudrick of Springdale, Arkansas; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Marna and Tim Selsor and Shana and Stanley Villines, all of Kingston, Arkansas, Courtney and Chad Burkett of Springdale, Arkansas; one great-grandson, Woodrow Isaac Lee Burkett of Springdale, Arkansas and four great-granddaughters, Raleigh Lynn Selsor, Hattie Mae Selsor, Ellie Ruth Selsor and Kimber Lynn Davidson, all of Kingston, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverends Dearl Wilson and Terry Easterling officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Braudrick, Tim Selsor, Chad Burkett, Phillip Cain, Danny Austin and Leo Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be: Charlis Johnson, Gwen Dean Cline, Mona Villines, Kathleen Burris, Melba Sharp, Mary Curl, Stanley Villines, Melvin May, Herb Hathorn, Patrick Curl and the nurses and staff of Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab, Post Office Box 1198, Huntsville, Arkansas 72740-1198.
