James Newell Hill

James Newell Hill, age 78, of Springdale died Dec. 31, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Kennett, Mo., the son of William and Mary Jarrett Hill. He was a retired major from the U.S. Army after serving for 20 years, was state director for PEBSCO and was a past co-manager for 265 Super Storage. He is preceded by his parents; three sons, James Hill Jr., Steven Hill and Bruce Hill; one great-grandson, Max Morris; and one sister, Mary Armstrong. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Angialine Hill of the home; his children, Tonya Hill and Carla Jo Byrd (Michael), both of Tontitown, Cliff West (Robin) of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Dawn Rosado (Mike) of North Little Rock and Heather Stidman (Dan) of Van Buren; one sister, Paula Wilder of Kennett, Mo.; two grandchildren, Charla (Thadd) Morris and Katherine (Ray) Grimes; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Wren, Emeline and Larue. Memorial service with Military Honors will be Jan. 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark., with Thadd Morris officiating.
