George J. Stanton

George J. Stanton, age 73, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on Jan. 5, 2015, surrounded by his family. George was born on Aug. 26, 1941, in Gary, Ind., and attended school in New Carlisle, Ind. He served in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division. After holding various manufacturing positions in Wisconsin, he retired and moved to Arkansas 2004. He was a loving father and grandfather, and spent his time attending their many activities over the years. He was an avid fisherman, and diehard fan of the Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers. He was preceded in death by father, Earl; mother, Lorraine; and sister, Luann (Bartoszewicz). He is survived by his son, Kurt Stanton; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Conrardy); and grandchildren, Kassidy and Keegan; as well as his brother, Ray Stanton (Diana) of Kalamazoo, Mich. Private services will be held at the Fayetteville, Ark., National Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please mail memorial donations to Bella Vista Honor Guard, c/o American Legion Post 341, P.O.
