Jo Dean Clark

Jo Dean Clark, 86 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, in Fayetteville. She was born May 17, 1928, in Colville, Ark., the daughter of William Lester and Cora Jane Ellenbarger Downum. She was a retired Seamstress for Levi Strauss and a member of the Methodist Faith. Jo Dean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Gaston Clark to whom she married, Nov. 23, 1946, in Madison County; son, David Clark; six brothers, Max Downum, J.M. Downum, Ellis Dee Downum, Lester Wayne Downum, Cecil Downum and Bobby Downum; one sister, Louise Pradziad and nephew, Barry Todd. Survivors are one daughter, Cheri Lynn Coley and husband, David of Fayetteville; grandson, Kyle Alexander Coley of Fayetteville; two brothers, James Downum and wife Louise and Tommy Downum, all of Springdale; sisters-in-law, Mary Todd of Fayetteville and Doris Downum of Springdale; seven nephews, Ron Williams of Summerville, S.C., Terry Todd, Harold Downum and Glen Canup, all of Springdale, Bill Bridges of McKinney, Texas, Richard Canup of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Cecil Downum of Rogers; five nieces, Judy Peterson of Sebastopol, Calif., Janice Kelber of San Mateo, Calif., and Tracey McJunkin, Joyce Russell and Gayla Stevens, all of Springdale. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at McCord Church in Elkins with burial in McCord Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, from 5 7 p.m. at Moores Chapel. The family would like to thank Tessa Kents and Roseanne Leverich and the Culpepper Assistant Living for their care of Jo Dean Clark.
