Dr. Ernest Lee Fox, 89, of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville. He was a resident at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville. Ernie was born August 8, 1925 in Springdale, Ark. and moved to Fayetteville about 1935. Ernie graduated from Fayetteville High School, the University of Arkansas, and the University of Kansas City Dental School. He was the president of his fraternity Kappa Sigma. Ernie served as a dentist in Korea and Japan as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War. He was in private dentistry practice for over 50 years. Ernie had a great love for his family and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lee Fox and Nancy Idena Helstern Fox both of Fayetteville. He is survived by close cousins Lauriel (Jim) Howard, St. Charles, Mo., Brooke (Glen) Siegel, Nashville, Tenn., and Linda (Wade) Osburn of Fayetteville. Family members wish to express deep thanks for the loving care Ernie received at Katherine's Place and the VA Hospital. A graveside Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Friday, February 20th at 1 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville with Vance Eubanks, Prairie Grove Christian Church officiating.
