John Fagg

John Darrel Fagg, 71, of Garfield died February 6 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born January 5, 1944 in Seelyville, Indiana to William Henry Fagg and Betty Sams Fagg. He was a member of the U.S. Army as a combat engineer. He was a field inspector for the Fire Marshalls Office in Indiana, spent over thirty years as a volunteer fire fighter in the Lewis Township and in 2008 joined the Nebco Fire Dept. and Boat Crew in Garfield, Arkansas. He built elevators for Otis Elevators, worked as a major repairman for J.I. Case in Terra Haute, Indiana and was a real estate agent for Jana Jobe Agency in Garfield. He worked for the Indiana State Prison System and Sprauge Devices in Michigan City, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mildred Polk and Carole Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Sophia Fagg. Survivors are his wife, Glenda Greening Fagg of the home; two sons, John Fagg, Jr. (Christy) of Coalmont, Indiana, Bill Fagg of Linton, Indiana; two daughters, Deanna Smith of Coalmont, Indiana, Joyce Gardner (Roy) of Lyons, Indiana; two sisters, Rita Roberson (Paul) of Paducah, Kentucky, Elizabeth Tucker (Charles) of South Bend, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Service is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 10 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will start at 3 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Service in Indiana will be 1 p.m. Friday February 13 at Debaun Funeral Home in Terra Haute, Indiana with burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. before the service.
