John Patrick Newton

John Patrick Newton, age 66, of Bella Vista, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born in Bloomfield, Neb., on March 13, 1948, to the late Roy David and Henrietta (Busskohl) Newton. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a cowboy at heart and was an excellent mountain guide, hunter and fisherman. He worked for Wal-Mart in Store Planning where he was a plans manager. Above all, he loved his family, and cherished his role as a grandpa. Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Hallberg) Newton; son, Josh Newton and wife Tara of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Caitlin Brown and husband John of Centerton; grandchildren, Kiren, Logan and Mason; a sister, June Hansen; brothers, Jerry, Robert, Bernard and Clyde Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lyle. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015, in the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
