Barbara Ann Cotton Stephens, 79 of Rogers Arkansas, was warmly welcomed into Heaven on February 1, 2015 in Keller, Texas. She was born on August 27, 1935 in Paris Arkansas to her parents Henry and Bernice Cotton. Barbara remained in Paris until she went to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she received her Degree in Home Economics and this is where she met and Married James Stephens in June 1957. Jim and Barbara enjoyed traveling! They moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma and raised three boys and then retired in Rogers where they were long time members of the First Baptist Church of Rogers for many years. Barbara always enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Her Elephant Ears were wanted by everyone! Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Husband James of 57 years, her brother, John cotton, sister, Emily Bane, her middle son, Mark Stephens and a granddaughter, Robyn Stephens. Barbara is survived by her oldest son, Mike Stephens and wife Pat of the Colony, Texas and her youngest son, Phil Stephens and wife Ronna of Haslet, Texas, sisters, Mary Westerfield of St. Louis, Mo. and Margaret Fox of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, Kim, Sarah, Rachel, Robert and Ryan Stephens and a host of nieces, nephews. cousins, and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
