Robert Yale Cohen II, 65 years old, went home to his Lord on Dec. 22, 2015. Bob was married to Lady Jane Cohen for 28 years and resided in Fort Smith, Ark. Bob was born in Little Rock, Ark. in 1950 to Fredona Elaine Forshag and Robert Yale Cohen. Bob knew from the time he was in junior high school his goal was to be a part of the justice system and practice Law. Bob followed his dream and subsequently received his B.A. from Hendrix College, and Law degrees from University of Arkansas School of Law, and Southern Methodist University School of Law. Bob was a member of the Sebastian County Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, Professional Ethics and Grievances Committee, as well as the Arkansas Supreme Court Tax Specialty Committee. Bob has enthusiastically and humbly served his community through his membership and Board of Director positions with numerous organizations including University of Arkansas Fort Smith Foundation, Fort Smith South Side Rotary Club, Fort Smith Arkansas Area Community Foundation, City of Fort Smith Financial Tax Force, Fort Smith Chorale Association, Hendrix College Alumni Association, Fort Smith Girls Club, Fort Smith Regional Playground for All Children, Inc., Western Arkansas Ballet, Fort Smith Heritage Foundation, and the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support Foundation. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Richard DeHaven Cohen. Bob is survived by his dedicated wife Lady Jane; brother, Phillip Louis Cohen and wife Kimberly Cohen. Bob's pride and joy were his six nieces and nephews Kristin Elaine Cohen, Alexander Yale Cohen, Payton Elizabeth Speer, Crockett Carter Speer, Carson Allan Winneker, and Maxwell Garrett Winneker. A Celebration of Bob's full life will be held Monday, December 28th, at 2 p.m. at The First United Methodist Church, Fort Smith, Ark., with a family and friends greeting immediately following in the Narthax.
