Doris Irene Drake

Doris Irene Drake, 86, of Farmington, died December 20, 2015 at Peachtree Village Assisted Living. She was born July 9, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Wiley and Hazel Verhoff Sandlin. Doris was a founding member of Ridgeview Baptist Church and in later years attended Farmington Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and waterskiing at the lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill W. Drake and sister, Mary Holt. She is survived by her son, Terry Drake and wife, Kimberly of Farmington; daughter, Angela Calloway and husband, Paul of Fayetteville; brother, Jim Sandlin of Springdale; and sister, Helen Stockton of Fayetteville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Ridgeview Baptist Church with Rev. Al Gebauer officiating. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
