Betsy Anne Elkins

Betsy Anne Elkins, 79, of Bella Vista, passed away Friday December 18, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born September 22, 1936 in Colorado City, Texas to Travis Reese and Mary Jane Hampton Bedford. Betsy was a homemaker and a Military Wife for 30 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers. She was a Librarian and a Piano Teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stan Bedford. Survivors include her husband Calton Elkins of the home; one daughter, Cyndie Slyter and husband Jim of Rogers; one son, Steve Elkins and wife Cynthia of Rogers; two brothers, Jack Bedford and wife Vicki of Rogers and Mike Bedford and wife Patsy of Cave Springs; one sister, Sue Owen and husband Jim of Lowell; one sister-in-law, Tonya Bedford of Lowell; two grandchildren, Andrew and Loryn Elkins; three step-grandchildren, Chris Slyter, Andrew Slyter and Krystle Slyter. Funeral services will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers Pastor Steve Jordan officiating. Interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery Tuesday, December 22 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
