Mary Ann Barron, 76, of Huntsville, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully at her home after losing her battle with lung cancer, while attaining her crown of life as Jesus welcomed her home on December 12, 2015. She was born October 10, 1939 at Huntsville, Ark., the daughter of Opal and Ethelma Crow Laningham. She had retired from the Huntsville Public Schools and was a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jack L. Whorton, one daughter, Angela Robin Anderson, one daughter-in-law, Sandy Whorton, her parents, one brother, Dale Lawrence Laningham and two sisters, Hazel Marie Logue and Norma June Gobble. Survivors include: her husband, Andrew Barron of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kathy Whorton of Farmington, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Jim Decker of Huntsville, Ark.; one stepson, Johnny Minter of Huntsville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Regina Batey of Goshen, Ark.; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Allen and Bonnie Laningham of Saint Louis, Mo., Danny Laningham of Springfield, Mo., Dwight Laningham of Springdale, Ark., Doug and Mary Laningham of Summers, Ark., and Stan Laningham of Huntsville, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Bill Weathers of Huntsville, Ark.; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces too numerous to list, with one special niece, Betty Williams. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Larry Combs and Shawn Whorton officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Visitation 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Brashears.
