Jimmie Marie Russell

Jimmie Marie Phillips Russell, 81, of Bentonville, Ark. died Sunday, November 22, 2015 in Bentonville. She was born near Bentonville December 7, 1933 to James and Dollie Marie Phillips. Jimmie attended Bentonville schools through all grades, graduating in 1952. She took courses at Tulsa Commercial Art, Shorthand and Typing. She was a bookkeeper for 12 years at Harris Baking Co. in Rogers. She retired from Walmart after 16 years, as an invoice clerk and in ladies wear. She was a member of Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church where she had served as treasurer, lay leader, membership secretary and historian. In 1964, she married Al Russell. They were married almost 50 years at the time of his death. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Al; brothers, Robert Phillips, Charles Phillips; nephews, Jim Shepperd, Dwane Phillips, and Robert "Bobby" Phillips. Survivors include nieces, Charlotte Caldwell and husband Curtis of Oklahoma City, Okla., Audra Williams of Rogers, Ark., Mary Ellen Drymon of Anderson, Mo.; nephews, Steve Sheppard of Pea Ridge, Ark., Bill Sheppard of Washburn, Mo.; many great-nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as special ones in her life, Bob and Thelma Skaggs, Alice Bonds, and Carol Greear. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services.
