Virginia (Ginnie) Timmons, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away at home Monday, August 17, having lived a full and vibrant life. She was born Dec. 4, 1923 in Savannah, Ga. to Arthur Vance Morgan Jr. and Jennie Wofford Cheatham. She was raised in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1942. Ginnie will be remembered for her gracious & generous spirit to everyone she met. She was a loving mother & wife, loyal friend, and the "glue" that kept her family connected. Ginnie had a huge heart for all animals and birds. She had a wonderful sense of humor & loved to have fun. Her creativity covered all mediums, but her oil paintings were spectacular. Ginnie bowled with Young At Heart League, loved ballroom dancing, photography, sewing, crossword puzzles, and Razorback basketball. She was a very classy woman with a great sense of style. She was preceded in death by husbands, Lt. Col. Harlan K Black of 38 years & Col. Max E Timmons of five years, her parents, brothers & sisters, Julian L. Morgan, Arthur Vance Morgan III, Thomas Harvey Morgan, Carrie Ellen Morgan Kraus & Ouida Morgan Madsen, and nephews Glen Richard Kraus, Jr., William (Chip) Madsen & Steve Madsen. She is survived by daughter Chrysi Black of Fayetteville, step-daughter Carol Black Randall (Jim) of Torrance, Calif., step-son Lt. Col. Max E Timmons Jr. (Elizabeth) of Fayetteville, five step-grandchildren David Limoges (Kathy), Dale Limoges (Amy), Tiffany Timmons, Emily Timmons, Timothy Timmons (Stephanie), four step-great grandchildren, nieces Dawilla Madsen, Carolyn Fisher (Terry), Nancy Lewis (Rob), and nephews Arthur Vance Morgan IV (Nancy), Curtis Morgan (Janet), Brian Morgan (Lupita), Doug Madsen & Stephen Morgan (Shelia). Ginnie was a member of Unity of Fayetteville Church, Daughters of American Colonists, Daughters of American Revolution Society. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Unity of Fayetteville at a future date. Memorials may be made to your local Humane Society or Animal Shelter and American Cancer Society.
