Carroll Lanier Prior, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 2, 2015 at home. He was born Jan. 10, 1931 in Galveston, Texas. He worked in the banking business in Longview, Texas and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for 47 years. Served in the Navy during the Korean War. Active member of Ft. Worth Lion's Club for many years, acting in every office. Carroll was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. As a member of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, he served as leader of the Stephen's Ministry. After retirement, he and his wife, Juanita, moved to Bella Vista where they enjoyed a life of 19 years. Carroll enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his many friends. He volunteered, and in later years, was a client of the Village House. He is survived by his wife Juanita Prior; four daughters and their husbands, Patti and Richard Nance, Brenda and Tom Croft, Beverly and John Black, Jill and Raymond Bares; grandchildren, Jessica Hulse, Ryan Abrew, Lauren Nance, Patrick Nance and Courtney and husband Ben Hickman; one great grandchild, Adeline Brown. Also survived by Dr. and Mrs. Tom Grant and many nephews and nieces, and his two beloved cats, Sammy and Tommy. Special thanks go to his loving caregivers, John Robertson, Will Butler, Jessica Wilson, and Hazel Gardner. Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, 2015. Burial will be in the Bella Vista Cemetery.
