Bruce Jerome Petersen

Bruce Jerome Petersen, age 72, of Springdale, died April 22, 2015, in Springdale. He was born March 1, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Walter Haddon and Emma Erma Gibson Petersen. He had worked as a carpenter and had served in the United States Navy. He had also worked in the CID Division for the Washington County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded by his parents; one brother, George Petersen; one daughter-in-law, Pam Peterson; and his father-in-law, Johnny Taylor. Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife, Sandra Taylor Petersen, of the home; his children: James Petersen of Bauxite, Kenneth Petersen (Jennie) of Springdale, Rhonda Peterson of Lowell, Ginger Roy (Michael) of Springdale; Stephen Sims (Lisa) of Pea Ridge, Brian Petersen (Laura) of Lebanon, Oregon, and Rebecca Green (Stephen) of Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Pauline Petersen, Marsha Ivey and Sherry Parsons (Bryan); brothers-in-law: Johnny Taylor (Jo Ann) and Mark Taylor; his mother-in-law, Vera Taylor; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services with Military Honors will be Monday, April 27, 2015, at Fayetteville National Cemetery, at 10 A.M. with Minister Wayne Turnbull officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
