Ernest Cleveland "Rock" Rogers 87 of Bentonville passed away April 20, 2015 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born January 3, 1928 in Riderwood, Alabama the son of McCall and Annie "Mary" Covington Rogers. Rock was a lineman putting in rural electric lines in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, he also worked for Pla-Mor Amusement Company, Lion Oil Company, Texaco, Farmers Exchange Co-Op and he retired from Wendt Sonis Corp. (RTW). He is preceded in death by his wife Nellye C. Sumner Rogers they were married April 5, 1946 in Springdale, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Curtis Rogers his sister Candy Allen. Survived by his son, Larry Joe Rogers and wife Bonnie of Springdale and his daughter, Cheryl Kay Bright and husband Gary of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his sisters Dorothy McBride and husband Collier of Athens, Louisiana; Carolyn Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services 10 a.m. Friday April 24, 2015 at the Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
