Mildred Doris Armfield

Mildred Doris Armfield, 86, recently of Rogers but long-time resident of Sullivan and Perryville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 31st. She was born March 12, 1929 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to the late Elam Robert and Holda Hoehn McLain. Following a career as a retail clerk, she enjoyed playing games, times shared with friends, dancing, keeping up and spending time with her grandkids. An amazing woman who impacted many of those around her, she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. Her parents and her husband, Oscar Armfield, preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Robert Armfield (and companion, Ellen Baty) of Rogers; life-partner, Bud Layton; four grandchildren Ryan, Shane, Sofi and Maki Armfield and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Valor Cunningham (Armfield). Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. A visitation will also be held Monday and a Funeral service on Tuesday in the Chapel of Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers and Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
