Margie Baker

Margie Baker, age 79, of West Fork died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, in Bentonville. She was born April 24, 1935, in Hindsville, Ark., the daughter of Jess and Chloe Redmond Burks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Baker Jr. in 1995; two brothers, Walter Burks and Lewis Burks; and a sister, Blanche Hill. She was a retired employee of Levi-Strauss. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Sliva and her husband, Robert, of Centerton; a son, David Baker of West Fork; five grandchildren, Stephanie Drake, Robby Sliva, Clayton Baker, Melissa Baker and Christopher Combs; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Burks and Elmer Burks; two sisters, Marlene Stamps and Ruby Shepherd. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel, followed by burial at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
