Jeanne Marie Williams

Jeanne Marie Williams, 87, of Bentonville, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born June 24, 1927, in Burlington, Kan., the daughter of Bernice and Charles Dunlop. Jeanne received her teacher's certificate from Emporia State Teachers College and taught in a one-room school house for one year. She and her husband operated a trucking business for 30 years from their home in Gridley, Kan. She had worked for Garret's Cabinet Shop in Gridley, Jostin's Corp. in Topeka, Offset Press in Lehman, Pa. Jeanne retired and lived in Lehman, Pa., for 19 years until moving to Bentonville, Ark., to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Rex and JoAnne Williams. Jeanne love crossword puzzles, playing her Gameboy and watching her favorite show, "Wheel of Fortune." The last two years she was a resident of Bradford House in Bentonville, Ark. She quietly fell asleep in the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.G. Williams Jr.; one son, Arthur G. Williams III; brother, Jack Roush; grandson, Shawn Kern; and sons-in-law, Marvin Kock and Leon Kern. She is survived by one son, Rex Williams and his wife, JoAnne, of Bentonville; five daughters, Mary Von Burg of Quincy, Ill., Beverly Pratt and her husband, Brian, of Salina, Kan., Eva Kern and her husband, Carl, of Lehman, Pa., Treva Koch of Overbrook, Kan., Nancy Kern of Dallas, Pa.; one sister, Thelma Cottingham of Grantsville, Kan.; five generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
