Susan E. Moon (née Brader), aged 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on Sept. 15, 2014. She passed at home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born Aug. 27, 1935, to Spencer and Dorothy Brader in Minneapolis, Minn. Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1957 with a B.A. in social work. Employed at welfare departments in Ramsey County, Minn., and Fauquier County, Va. Volunteered at the Red Cross for many years working for Military Emergency Services. Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. She was a popular teacher in the young women's organization. She also worked in the Family History Center and was Relief Society president several times. She has resided in Bella Vista, Ark., for the last 20 years. Sue spent her entire life serving others. She was funny, smart, kind, honest, positive and big on "doing the right thing." Survived by daughter, Cathleen Herron (Terry), Eden Prairie, Minn.; sons, Jonathan Herron, Moscow, RU, and Stephen Moon (Kimberly), Latham, N.Y.; grandson, Spencer Moon; stepsons, Donald Moon (Lucy), New Haven, Conn., David Moon, Minneapolis, Minn.; stepdauthers, Patricia Gertz, Brooklyn Center, Minn., Pamela Venkatesan, San Francisco, Calif. Predeceased by her husband, James Moon; brother, Thomas Brader; stepdaughters, Nancy Mowat (Robert) and Wendy Leifeld. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the humane society or charity of your choice. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1101 NE McCollum Drive, Bentonville, Ark.
