James Lewis Fox

James Lewis Fox, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Concordia Nursing & Rehab in Bella Vista. He was born on Aug. 23, 1935, in Paton, Iowa, to Fred Arthur Fox and Helen Fern Grant Fox. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge for over 50 years. He loved to golf, bowl and woodworking in his shop. He was a former usher for the University of Arkansas football and basketball games for over 17 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Fox of Bella Vista, Ark.; sons, David Fox and wife, Kathy, of Moline, Ill., Stephen Fox and wife, Rhonda, of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Karen Fox of Dubuque, Iowa; stepdaughters, Karen Walton of Eastman, Wis., Dawn Meyer of Dubuque, Iowa; sister, Betty Tilley and husband, Lawrence, of Jefferson, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, in the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, Ark. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
