Cracker Davidson

Karel "Cracker" Davidson, 69, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Sept. 15, 2014, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Ark. She was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Los Angeles, Calif., and moved to Bentonville before her first birthday. She was the daughter of Ray Davidson and Vivian Miller Davidson. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1963 and from Arkansas Tech in 1967. She married Bill Koons in 1967 and divorced in 1990. She taught school at Walton Junior High and retired in 2000. After retirement, she did extensive work in tracing the geneology of the Davidson and Miller families. She is survived by her sister, "Cookie" Mayer and her husband, Ron, of Carmel, Ind.; one brother, Karlos Davidson of Bentonville; nephews, Mickey Short of Bentonville, Michael Short of Carmel, Ind., and Martie Short of Westfield, Ind. She also leaves behind many friends whom she greatly loved. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville, with the Rev. Kurt Boggan officiating. Burial will follow at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Karel "Cracker" Davidson to the Shriners Hospital, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131; or to Circle of Life, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72764. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.
