Lois Pauline Roetzel

Lois Pauline Roetzel, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 12, 1927, in Granite City, Ill., to Osby and Pernie Jewel (O'Neal) Burnett. She was a retired administrative assistant with Southwestern Bell Telephone and member of Cross Church Springdale where she was active with Senior Saints, and the choir. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Lois loved studying the bible and participated in many bible studies including Bible study fellowship. She was an avid gardner & a wonderful cook. Her grandchildren and great grands were her pride and joy along with her Scottie dog Megan. She was preceded in death by her husband Lavon Roetzel and granddaughter, Joelle Engles. She is survived by son Mike Roetzel and wife Julie of Fayetteville, Ark.; daughter, Linda Morris of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren, Shane Morris, Sarah Morris, Jaclyn Barrett, Cara Hamilton, Emily Roetzel, and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 14 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 15 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Foster officiating. Private burial will be held at Fairview Memorial Garden in Fayetteville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayetteville North Camp of Gideons International, 5236 East Sagely Lane, Fayetteville, AR 72703-9236. Please mark your donations for the camp fund.
