Harold N. Barnett, 88, of Rogers passed away Sept. 11, 2014. He was born Aug. 2 1926, in La Junta, Colo., to Temple L. and Myrtle Libby Jaesen Barnett. Harold retired in 1987 from SWEPCO after 36 years of service. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed bicycling, hiking and traveling. His favorite place to travel was Hawaii. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie McClure Barnett; brother, Temple Barnett Jr.; and great-grandson, Austin Barnett. Survived by his wife, Claudine Rife Barnett; son, Harold N. Barnett Jr. (Carol) of Udall, Kan.; two grandsons, Michael (Jennifer), Robert (Michele) Barnett; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Billy, Gage, Garrett and Autumn Barnett; his extended family, Becky Adams (Virgil), Shelly West (Billy), Melanie Brewton (Randy) and Brad Williams; grandchildren, William, Sarah and Josh Adams, Stanton, Zach and Jorja West, Marianne Saucier (Brandon), Tyler, Cheyenne, Taylor (Andrea) Brewton; great-grandchildren, Asher Saucier, Harvey and Rosie Brewton. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Interment will follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery, Greenland.
