Wayne R. Allmendinger

Wayne R. Allmendinger, 76, of Rogers passed away Sept. 10, 2014, in Springdale. He was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Hiwasse, Ark., the son of James and Ruby Gray Allmendinger. He was a retired tool and die maker. Wayne graduated from Rogers High School 1956, he enjoyed bowling and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Marsha and Ruth Allmendinger, and Mary Kathleen Patrick. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Janie Allmendinger of the home, they were married May 19, 1959; children, Steve Allmendinger and Pam Allmendinger, both of Rogers, Linda Allmendinger of Fayetteville and Janet Bennett of Gentry; his brother, Bill Allmendinger of Stockton, Calif.; and his sister, Nancy Eddy of North Little Rock; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Interment will follow in the Benton County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
