Joshua Ray Goodnight

Joshua Ray Goodnight, 35, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, in Centre, Ala. He was born Oct. 17, 1978, in Kokomo, Ind., to Kevin and Kellie (Greene) Goodnight. Josh attended Taylor High School and received his diploma from Cherokee County High School (Alabama). He loved taking his daughter, Alexus, to Chuck E. Cheese's and spending quality time with her. Growing up, Josh enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. As he got older, he enjoyed spending time on his boat fishing and he loved to cook. Surviving are a daughter, Alexus R. Goodnight, Arkansas; sister, Jessica (Todd) Goodnight Adams, Kokomo; nephew, Noland M. Adams; niece, Makenna R. Adams, Kokomo; grandparents, Richard and Lisa Greene, Centre, Ala.; several aunts and uncles and cousins; special sister, Sarah (Dowden) Comstock (Kokomo); girlfriend, Lorissa Lowry, and her two daughters, Kinley and Lilli Lowry. Josh was preceded in death by his parents, Kevin and Kellie (Greene) Goodnight; daughter, Gracen Alexandra Goodnight; grandmothers, Patricia Townsend, Rebecca Greene; aunts, Melissa Hook and Deborah Dowden. A memorial service will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. at Clark Pavilion, Lake Atalanta Park, Rogers, Ark., with Stan Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made out to "Memorial Fund for Joshua Goodnight" and dropped in the basket at the memorial service.
