Jesus Amparan Garcia

Jesus "Jessie" or "Chewy" Amparan Garcia, 41-year-old resident of Gentry, Ark., died Sept. 8, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 6, 1972, in Gravette, Ark., to Gilberto Garcia and Carmen Amparan. Jessie married Lisa Goodyear on May 11, 2010, in Bella Vista, Ark. He graduated from Decatur High School and worked as the assistant general manager at Hyatt Hotel in Rogers. Jessie was a member of the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Pedro Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Garcia of Gentry; one son, Samuel Watie Goodyear Garcia of Gentry; two brothers, Rick Garcia and his wife, Pam, of Gentry, and Lorenzo Garcia and wife, Judy, of Siloam Springs; and five nephews, Issac Garcia, Caleb Garcia, Joshua Garcia, Eric Garcia and Matthew Hendren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church, Gentry, Ark., with Pastor Werner Gil officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. To sign the online guest book, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
