Shirley May Gibson

Shirley May Gibson, 87, of Rogers, Ark., passed away, Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 4, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., to Charles H. Gross and Halleen Snyder Gross. She was a successful business owner and a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Larry King. Shirley is survived by her husband, Roger Gibson; three sons, Charles Conner, Richard Conner (Diana), Robert Gibson (Amanda); three daughters, Evelyn Reis, Janet Delaney (Bill), Molly Yowell (Jerry); grandchildren, Jennifer Turner, Michael Delaney, Stacy Wolf (Gary), Deborah Iak (TJ), Amanda Adams, Leslie (Travis Dowell), Michael Conner, Shawn King, David King, Brian Hufendiek, Matthew Hufendiek, Dawn King, Mary Porter; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers, with Father Rick Hobbs officiating and Deacon Ronnie Hoyt assisting. A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made in honor of Shirley Gibson to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
