Francis Pense, 90, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Cherry Branch, Ark., the daughter of George and Martha Perdue Harrison. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Fayetteville and VFW Auxiliary, and was preceded in death by her husband, George Pense Sr.; daughter, Shirley Downard; and son, Johnny Pense. Survivors include two sons, George Pense Jr. of Farmington and Carl Pense of Fayetteville; two daughters, Ruth Terry of Fayetteville and Betty Dearing of Farmington; two half brothers, Gene Harrison and Paul Harrison, both of Fayetteville; one sister, Ella Mae Davis of Platte City, Mo.; three half sisters, Peggy Hayes of Fayetteville, Mary Lou Holland of Oregon and Verna Morgan of Springdale; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the North Hills Life Care and Rehab Alzheimer Unit.
