Verna B. Graham

Verna B. Graham, 87, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. Verna was born on Nov. 6, 1926, in Springdale, daughter of Henry Calvin Whittle and Nina Rose Fletcher Whittle. She was the widow of the late Howard Eugene Graham, who preceded her in death in 2005. Verna was a homemaker, excellent seamstress, accomplished artist, green thumb gardener and an outstanding cook. She was a devout Christian that had a strong faith in God and looked forward to reuniting with loved ones in Heaven. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Graham Cahill and husband, Larry, of Houston, Texas, and Donna Elizabeth Atkinson and husband, Kevin, of Conway, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Graham of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers, Tommy Whittle and wife, Helen, and Jimmy Whittle and wife, Yvonne, all of Hindsville, Ark.; two sisters, Daisy Couch of Springdale, Ark., and Bette Smith of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, infant son, Ronald Eugene Graham, and son, Howard David Graham; and three siblings. Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Sonora Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Graham will officiate the service.
