Julie Catherine Kyle

Julie Catherine Kyle, 38, passed away Oct. 21, 2014, unexpectedly at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. Born Oct. 12, 1976, she was the daughter of Mary Catherine and George Finley Kyle III of Pine Bluff, Ark. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1995 and was a member of the A Cappella Choir and Winged Zebra and won many awards in sports. She played the piano and guitar by ear and wrote music. She received her associate of arts degree from SEARK in Pine Bluff by Mike Huckabee, a friend. She later received her BA in journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. While there, she was the recipient of several scholarships for her journalism studies. She is survived by her father and mother, George and Mary Catherine Kyle of Pine Bluff; fiance, Mike Rivers of Fayetteville, who loved her and said how much she enjoyed life. Her other immediate survivors include her brother, David Jason Kyle, and her nephew, Peyton Kyle, both of Crossett; aunt, Judy Lynn Klamut (Floyd) of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; uncles, Donald Vinson Case (Carolyn) of Pine Bluff and Dennis Rampley of Fayetteville; cousins, Barbara Hunt Fels, LaNelle Beck, Brian Donald Case and Stephen Donald Case of Pine Bluff, Kerry (Bob) Rolfe of Indiana, Lisa Titek, Barry and Jamie Klamut. She was predeceased by her birth mother, Patricia Rampley of Rogers; her grandparents, W.V. and Jessie Vinson Case of Pine Bluff, and Olive Glover Kyle and George Finley Kyle Jr. of Malvern. Julie had been employed as news reporter and copy editor for The Pine Bluff Commercial, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Northwest Arkansas Times, The Morning News and The Fayetteville Free Weekly. Her other tenures included Nanomech LLC excecutive assistant to the CEO, editor and project coordinator of WhyteSpyder, community liaison for Healthy Kids of Florida Corporation in Jacksonville, and recently became creative services director and owner of her own company, Heart and Soul Creative Company, to help small business owners by her creation and maintenance of their websites. She loved editing their books, speeches or other writings to help them become published writers. For several years she was a volunteer writer for the largest fundraiser of the Humane Society of the Ozarks' "tales," "Tails of Love." She was a lifelong member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior when she was very young. She was an organ donor and has been cremated. There will not be a funeral or memorial service, but her remains will be interred at the family plot in a private ceremony in Graceland Cemetery. Olive St., Pine Bluff, AR 71601; or to the Humane Society of the Ozarks Inc., 120 South One Mile Road, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
