Gerald Lee 'Jerry' Harp

Gerald Lee "Jerry" Harp Jr. of Springdale passed away peacefully at his home. He was born June 15, 1962, in Springdale. Jerry was a 1980 graduate of Springdale High School. He later went to the Travel Institute of Tulsa to become a travel agent. He was a travel agent for many years at Travel Fair. Jerry was known for his love of animals and rescued many over the years. Jerry also enjoyed gardening. One of his favorite pastimes was cooking and smoking meat for others. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kimi Harp Blythe. Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Harp of Springdale; his father, Gerald Harp and wife, Vicki, of Springdale; two sisters, Jackie Harp of Springdale, and Timi Ray and husband, Frank, of Springdale; three nieces and nephews, Tiffani, John and Frankie Ray; his brother-in-law, Kevin Blythe, and niece, Kourtney; and longtime friend and companion, Christine Morrison, and her children, Brandon and Jessica Morrison. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Judy VanHoose officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
