David Julian Dubberly

David Julian Dubberly, age 63, of Huntsville died Oct. 16, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born to Julian H. and Lois Jean Mays Dubberly on Sept. 30, 1951, in Pineville, La. David spent his childhood traveling with his military family to France, California, North Africa, New Jersey and finally to Doniphan, Neb., where he graduated in 1969. Dave, as most people knew him, worked as a ranch hand for Robb Feedyard for a number of years. Driving a tractor, planting corn and watching it grow is what Dave enjoyed, especially when the corn was taller than his Afro! When Dave moved to Arkansas, he found that building houses and remodeling was a job he enjoyed. Seeing the many projects Dave did made us all so proud. Every summer family members met at Beaver Lake to enjoy boating and being with Dave and his family. He was always so excited to have visitors come to see them. Dave's greatest joy was watching Miranda play basketball and being her escort at the Huntsville High School Colors Day Queen Crowning. Dave is survived by his wife, Teresa, and daughter, Miranda, both of the home; daughter, Jade Wondercheck and family of Gering, Neb.; daughter, Amy Ostdick and family, and son, DJ Eihusen and family, both of Grand Island, Neb. Dave's siblings that survive him are, Terry and Judy Dubberly of Watongo, Okla., Gloria and Jeff Gates of Grand Island, Neb., Brenda and David Astrones of Doniphan, Neb., and Colleen and Mike Leitschunck of Lincoln, Neb. Also surviving him are his mother-in-law, Wilma Ledbetter, and his brother-in-law, Danny Ledbetter, both of Huntsville. Dave is grandpa to nine grandchildren, an uncle to 11 nieces and nephews, and a great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fellowship hall at Harmony Baptist Church, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at 1 p.m. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
