Michael Wayne 'Hawk' Hawkins

Michael Wayne "Hawk" Hawkins, 60, of Prairie Grove died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born March 25, 1954, in Fayetteville to J.N. Hawkins Jr. and Bonnie Lollar Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a self-employed attorney, a member of Wiggins United Methodist Church and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed throwing darts, playing guitar, playing with his big white dog, Jude, being around his wife and family, a childhood dinosaur collector, a baseball card collector and a lover of music. Michael had the biggest heart and he never met a stranger. He had many dear friends that loved him. He was surrounded by a loving family. Loved his mother, brother, daughter, wife, dog and all his friends dearly. Survivors include his mother; wife, Diane Teekell Hawkins of the home; daughters, Jordon Harris and husband, Dustin, and Dana Wittaker; brother, Jim Hawkins; grandchildren, Alexis and A.J. Harris. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Beard's Chapel, with Pastor Jody Farrell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
