Clyde Alan Elvins, 50, of Gravette, Ark., passed away at his home on Oct. 11, 2014. He was born on Feb. 6, 1964, in Fayetteville, Ark., to William Edward Elvins of Tulsa, Okla., and Thelma Sue Austin Elvins of Fayetteville. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1982. He married Stacey M. Christy in 1992. Clyde was employed by Superior Industries in Rogers for 23 years. He enjoyed auto collecting and refurbishing. He also enjoyed motorcycling, auto swap meets, hiking, and especially loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William M. and Reba Elvins, and Waldo G. and Maydea E. Austin. Survived by four brothers and two sisters, William M. Elvins and wife, Bonita, Gary L. Elvins, all of Houston, Texas, Katherine I. Jones of Rogers, Ralph E. Elvins and Susan M. Elvins, all of Fayetteville, and Jay F. Elvins and wife, Paula, of Gravette; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers, with Nick Venter officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
