Ronald Gale Fogle, 67, formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away at his home in Cave Springs, Ark., on Oct. 10, 2014. He was born July 20, 1947, at his maternal grandparents' house in Exeter, Mo. He graduated from Rogers High School in May 1966. He received a two year accounting diploma from Tulsa Business College in August 1968. He worked in accounting until he decided he was not meant to be at a desk wearing a tie. He attended Oklahoma State Tech, where he was on the registrar's honor roll while studying air conditioning and refrigeration. He graduated in May 1972. He loved working in the HVAC/refrigeration field, but gave it up in 1984 to care for his daughter, who has special needs. Ron was a talented fixer. There was virtually nothing he couldn't repair or put together, and friends and family (and often strangers that he stopped to help) relied on his expertise. He loved helping people. His easygoing and calm nature attracted children and animals. Birds and squirrels would actually carry on conversations with him. He was a born nurturer, and a beloved role model and teacher for numerous nieces and nephews on his wife's side, each of whom enriched his life in return. He enjoyed life and fought cancer mightily for over two years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nova Robbins Fogle Eastep; his father, Squire Gareld Fogle; and his stepfather, Emery Eastep. He also lost his sister, Loretta Fogle when she was 14; and a stepbrother, Russell Eastep; and stepsister, Betty Ann Eastep Chambers, who he was close to. Grieving his loss are his wife of 24 years, Rhonda Jayne Rodgers; his siblings and best friends, Betty Jean Brandon and Squire Gary Fogle; and the foremost love in his life, his daughter, Christine Lee Fogle. Also surviving him are his nieces, Tawnya Lewis and Dena Pagoria; and nephew, Tony Brandon. He was so proud of their intelligence and talents. There are also numerous cousins, aunts and uncles on both the Robbins and Fogle sides that occupied a huge space in his heart. Cremation is being handled through Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. His ashes will be buried next to his parents at Tucks Chapel Cemetery, Little Flock. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
